Cloud backup comparison

Hello,
we have set up a disaster recovery project backing up some VMs with Veeam backup installed on a VM located on an ISP and sending incremental backup from the customer to the ISP along a VPN.
The system works quite good but we'd like to share our experience with yours: do you have evaluated other products for similar projects?
Do you know if some Disaster Recovery software analysis are available to compare different products?
The ISP above mentioned Vembu software: do you have some experiences with it?

Well, it depends on what you want from your offsite replica.
If you need them to only be offline files to restore them without any strict RTO, there are dozens of software that can do this. Vembu is an offsite backup, just like Intronis, Mozy, JungleDisk, CrashPlan, to name some of them.
But if you need to power up your VMs in a remote site when your production site is down, you need a remote storage where Veeam (or other competitor) can write full copies of your virtual machines, and at least one ESXi server to boot your VMs there.

The worst error is to design your DR based on your backup needs, and not on your restore needs.
