Retrieving job attribute details

Post by pwinkeler »

I need to ensure that newly created backup jobs for certain clients are properly configured for encryption. However, it appears this setting is not exposed through the API? Am I missing something?

Unsure about the API but you should be able to get it from PowerShell - https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110 and powershell-f26/encryption-on-a-backup-job-t51265.html

Hi,

You can get encryption options for a job via VBR REST API (VMware backup jobs only). Have a look at job spec.

Path: storage.advancedSettings.storageData.encryption.

Thanks,
Oleg

Very cool. Thanks Oleg as I don't use the API much right now. 😜
