Different immutability periods in the cloud for Capacity Tier: separate cloud folders or separate buckets ?

Hello Community,

just a quick question here with regards to object lock enabled buckets (in the cloud).

In a scenario where for different VMs (grouped in and backed up by different jobs targeting different SOBRs) an organization requires to set different immutability periods in the cloud for Capacity Tier, is it recommended to:

1) at the Bucket step when adding an S3 Object Storage, specify the same bucket and select a separate cloud folder to which we will map the object storage repositories each with its own different immutability period
2) at the Bucket step when adding an S3 Object Storage, specify different buckets each with its own unique cloud folder and immutability period
3) It does not make any difference

It's Nr. 2. We recommend to use different buckets for each SOBR.
Choose different buckets for each SOBR you use. Don't use different folders on the same bucket.

From the Guide:

Use one bucket per scale-out backup repository to reduce metadata. Creating folders for multiple scale-out backup repositories within a bucket slows down processing, as metadata operations within the object storage are handled per bucket.
