application restore (mailboxes): what does the cross stand for?

Hello,

unfortunately, it seems that I am not allowed to upload an image here. When restoring a mailbox via the Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Exchange, there are some mailboxes that do not and some that do have a small red cross in the symbol left to the name of the mailbox. What does it stand for and where can I find the details about what was not completely backed up regarding this mailbox?

Welcome to the forum.
You can upload images, just use a image hoster service and link the uploaded picture here in your post.
I'm using this one myself: https://imgbb.com/

This mailboxes with an X are moved mailboxes (to another database) or deleted mailboxes.
Does the user mailbox with the X exist on the live database?

Hi Fabian,

thank you for your reply. Now it's clear. I thought it had to do with errors when backing up etc. But no, these are the mailboxes that are migrated to M365 already, I see.

Your welcome.
Yes, migrated mailboxes will be removed in the source mailbox. They won't be removed immediately, the exchange puts them in a soft deleted state for 30 days (default) after the migration was successful. After this 30 days, the mailbox should disappear from the backup.
