Renamed SharePoint sites

Post by robnicholsonmalt »

If a site has been renamed, is the new or old name shown in the list of sites? I can't find "+Group IT Support" in the list but this group was renamed. Can't remember the original name though and as mentioned in the other post, this user interface here is horrible.

Aside but could I use PowerShell to get this list? At least I could filter that?

Hi Rob

If you choose a restore point before the renaming of the site, you see the old name. And if you choose a restore point after renaming the site, the new name will be displayed. It's similar like our Guest OS File Restore in VBR. You see the name which was present when the backup was taken.

I'll check the option with the PowerShell and give you an update.

Thanks

Thanks, so it looks like the group I'm looking for isn't been backed up. Will follow-up with iLand.

Hi Rob

Yes, that would be a good plan to confirm the correct behavior of the backup job with iLand.
They should see that the SharePoint site was backed up by the job or not.
