Anyone has ever had such issue adding a Hitachi VSP F1500 to Veeam's inventory for Backup from Storage Snapshot?
I could successfully add the Storage to Veeam's inventory, but when it performs a rescan, the following message comes up...
24/08/2022 18:11:51 Error Failed to refresh HITACHI VSP F1500_22419 configuration Error: [VBRP007334] The target storage is not supported. Please check the target storage. (model:VSP F1500)

Thanks for the kb link.
I will check if the kb is correct or need to be adjusted with the supported models.
But I believe from reading the user guide and seeing your error message, F1500 isn‘t supported yet. Supported models must be hardcoded in the storage plugin if you see that message in your environment.
Hi Eduardo, sorry for the confusion - are you positive that your array is running the supported firmware version (88-07-01-x0/00 or later)? We know that some series contain older models that cannot install the required OS versions so we listed the entire storage line for simplicity. I'm checking with the vendor if we still need to use the specific supported models list everywhere in our collateral, similar to how those are listed in the system requirements, and whether using the general model line index is not correct.
Confirmed with Hitachi - VSP G1000/1500 and F1000/1500 are old models that are not supported. We will modify the wording in the KB article to make it more clear. Sorry again for the confusion.
I don't think so - as they mentioned, it is an 'old model' that cannot apply the minimum required 88-07-01-x0/00 OS version. Basically, it runs a different OS version branch (80-0x-xx-xx/xx) that is incompatible with 88-0x-xx-xx/xx.
