Feature Request: Default sorting

Post by mlange »

Could reports by default sort by whatever the first column is, or could there be an option when building custom reports to define this? I've built a report in Veeam One using the Backup Infrastructure Custom Data custom report. I'd like for the output in the file to be sorted alphabetically by job but I've not found a way to do this.

Hello mlange,

Currently, there is no way to sort Backup Infrastructure Custom Data. But some reports already support custom sorting, like this one.

Could you please clarify your use case for our better understanding? Why sort alphabetically by the job name?
For example, in some cases, it makes sense to sort tables by start time, last run time, or even by object state which in their turn cannot be the first column.

Thanks

Basically we want a daily report of all backup jobs containing specific information for ease of verifying their status. I've basically got everything I need, but it would be nice to get things sorted by job just for readabilities sake.
