Create privilegized ESXi backup/restore account

Hy!

I have a single ESXi host and I would like to create a privilegesed account for VM backup and restore. I found the following article, but I think it is available only vCenter server not ESXi host. In ESXi host there are lots of missing privileges. I don' find any information which is related to ESXi. What kind of privilege needs for backup/restore operation in ESXi?

Hi Adam

ESXI server requires root permission. Granular permission is only possible with a vCenter.
