Surebackup with different virtual lab

Post by matteu »

Hello,

I would like to use surebackup for 2 scenarios :
-Test application upgrade
-Test backup job

To achieve this, I think about 2 vLAB : 1 for each scenarios. I will have the same production port group in both vLAB

My issue is when I make it, the VM are moved between both host because of DRS.

To avoid this, is it beter to use the scenario with advanced multi host and use dvswitch or do I need to use different port group name between vLAB1 and 2 ?

When I see documentation, advanced multi host is used for sure replica only.

Thanks

Usually vLAB networks are local on each ESXi host (don`t reuse them between vlabs, always select a different network name per vlab. (Source Network can of cause be the same). DRS can not work with this then as there is no network on the other host for this.
