How to Backup a failover cluster

Hi,
I'm just putting the feelers out there for now but I'm looking to see if it is possible to backup a whole failover cluster...

We have a Dell VRTX running 2 hosts.. running Server 2016 that are configured in a cluster.. we recently had an issue with both hosts after running windows updates.. after trying many things and failing to get the hosts up and running it was decided to rebuild both hosts... but because of this the cluster was lost so we needed to recreate this also... all vm's were OK as they were on the shared volume.. but what I'd like to find out is there a way to backup the whole cluster info.. so if we have similar issues in the future we can restore the cluster... currently we only backup the VM's with Veeam.

Hope this makes sense? if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

and welcome to the forums.

Veeam Backup & Replication is built to protect the VMs. The hypervisor itself is out of scope from Veeam side (same as we don't back up ESXi hosts).

Technically, the Veeam Agent for Windows might work. But we don't test Hyper-V cluster restores.
