Office 365 Connection Problem

Post by teletek »

Hi all,

After I upgraded Office 365, It's doesn't connect When I enter Organization information. The alert asks for modern authentication. What is modern authentication ? Can you help us ?

warning:

use the basic basics from microsoft start. This method will be taken from the user by Microsoft. To continue for the data validation method only the application must be considered a modern identity.

Hi Teletek

You have to configure your tenant with modern auth only. Modern Authentication is now mandatory after Microsoft has started to disable Basic Auth in all tenants. With Modern Authentication, we will use an Azure AD app registration to access M365 data and not a simple username and password as before.

Please edit your current organization in VB365 and choose only Modern authentication.
We documented the steps in a KB article:

Thanks

I understand about Modern Authentication! We are configured like that but it causes big problem. Cannot restore OneNote files in TEAMS project! To correct the problem we have to enable Legacy Authentication which is not possible anymore!

Hi Claude

Currently there is no way for us to restore OneNote Files.
What you can try, save the OneNote Files from the restore point on your desktop and upload them manually to your M365 tenant.

Thanks
