upgrade Vcenter 6.7 to 7.0

Hello all.
we are about to upgrade are Vmware environment from 6.7 to 7.
we are using veeam b&r11 to backup are Vmware environment
i want to ensure that the backup job are going to continue without any affect during the procedure.
My main concern is that because of the upgrade all the morfID are going to change and break the chain of backups, I don't want full backups to start again, But let them continue the sequence.

My understanding is that if you're upgrading from 6.7 to 7, the IDs of the VMs will remain the same. They become 'new' if the VMs are migrated to a 'different' vCenter instance. Which an upgrade is not.

If you build a new vCenter, and them migrate VMs into it, then that isn't an 'upgrade' as such and would result in new IDs.

Ian is right here.
If you do an in-place upgrade the IDs will remain the same, its and inplace upgrade.
If you of course install a new vCenter and move all vSphere server there it will be new IDs and with that the issue will pop up.
And as he says it is no longer an upgrade then but more a new installation.
