Site is already being processed by another job.
Support case# 05686221
I have individual backup jobs in Veeam for Exchange mailboxes, Sharepoint, Teams, and Onedrive. I've been getting this warning on some Sharepoint sites that the site is already processed by another job. I put in a support request but so far they have not been able to figure this out. I was asked by the support agent to remove the organization and jobs and then re-add and create new jobs. I've done this but I am still getting this warning showing up on several sharepoint sites and Teams groups.

Re: Site is already being processed by another job.
Joel,
What I suspect is that you are protecting personal SharePoint sites from users, and at the same time protect those during the SP job also. Another option is that you are protecting Teams (which have a SP site in the back) and you try to protect those in the SP job also. Those 2 might be worth to look into
Cheers
Mike

Re: Site is already being processed by another job.
Thanks Mike, that seems likely but I'm not sure how to get around this. I followed Veeams best practices and split jobs for each resource.
I see that I can exclude objects from each job but it looks like I can only exclude specific users or groups from each job. I would have to come back and add more exclusions each time someone in the organization adds a new Teams group.
I understand how integrated each of these components are in 365 I was just hoping Veeam would be a bit more intelligent in figuring out how to back up each component.
How does everyone else configure these jobs? Is it more common to create a single backup job for the entire organization instead of separate jobs?

Normally teams should not be an issue I believe. So I rather think it are the Personal SharePoint sites. So you either can exclude those on the users or you can exclude the personal sites in the SharePoint job.

Is it possible to exclude all personal sites? I only see the ability to choose existing personal sites. What happens to additionally created personal sites after I add the exclusion? Do I have to come back and add each personal site to the exclusions after they are created?

Hi Joel,
On the Select objects to exclude step, click Add -> Sites and select the Personal site node. All personal sites, including the newly created ones, will be automatically excluded from the processing

Ok, that seems to work for the Sharepoint job. Now the trouble still exists between the Teams and Sharepoint job. Since Teams groups have sharepoint sites associated with them I am getting the same warning that the site is processed by another job. These aren't personal sites to that option doesn't really work here. How would I get around this without having to come back and add another exclusion every time someone creates another Teams group?

Re: Site is already being processed by another job.
I used different start times for the jobs when working for a service provider.
Example: Start the Teams job at 8pm and the Sharepoint job at 10pm.
