Failed to connect to Enterprise Manager. See KB1849

Hello,

I have one problem. I had the Veeam 10 with plugin installed over my Vmware 6.5 and all right, but I update to Vmware 7.0.3 and the Veeam 11a. then the plugin failed, I unistalled and installed again.
The plugin is installed ok, but show this message Failed to connect to Enterprise Manager. See KB1849

Hi Felipe,

Just to clarify - did you follow the mentioned KB with the plugin reinstallation?
Also, could you share your Support case ID? It's mandatory when you report a technical issue.

Hello,
Yes I follow this KB, and the same problem. The Case #05338147.
It's stranger but, the Veeam Enterprise show correct version, and installed without problem, but Vcenter can't received data of Veeam Enterprise.

The problem start to update Vcenter 7.0.3.

ready fix it!!, we have delete all data veeam on Vcenter and after install plugin again. We need use the password based authentication with user administrator local veeam enterprise server.

The issue was with the certificate thumbprint. Correct the vcenter plugin to use the Enterprise Managers SHA-1 Fingerprint so that password auth isn't required. Best to also use the latest plugin from Enterprise Manager. I had to uninstall and reinstall from EM to the vcenter.
