Immutability support

Post by albertwt »

Hi All,

Based on this article and the latest edition v11 currently: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110

The Backup Repository with Immutability support must be using Linux or Object storage like Amazon S3 or Azure Blob only.
No NTFS & ReFS or Windows based Backup repo is supported.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks in advance,

Object storage provides immutability within Capacity Tier functionality only. So if you are looking for a primary backup location with immutability support then the Linux Hardened repository is the only choice as of now. Thanks!

Hi Vladimir,

Thank you for the reply, does the Microsoft Azure Blob storage can now support immutability as the backup repository ?
