Check AAIP on VM

Post by adam900331 »

Hy!

I have some VM which used AAIP. This VMs include MSSQL. There is a domain user account which has admin rights on VMs to use AAIP. VMs are Windows Server The transaction log setting is perform copy only. How can I identify to Veeam use AAIP succesfully? I can't see nothing in job statistics.

If i use perform copy only for transaction log, is suitable for use local admin rights to create consistent backup?

Thanks.

I checked the statistics and I see this:
2022. 11. 10. 21:23:42 :: Inventorying guest system
2022. 11. 10. 21:24:08 :: Preparing guest for hot backup
2022. 11. 10. 21:24:26 :: Releasing guest
2022. 11. 10. 21:24:26 :: Creating VM snapshot

Is it mean to Veeam create consistent backup?

Nobody can not have experience about AAIP (Application-aware procesing)?

Hi @adam900331

Yep, that's quite expected and should be working fine.

If you want to confirm in logs also, you can look in the Task log for the job (on Veeam Server itself) for a line like:

[14.11.2022 02:58:23] <30> Info VSSControl: Freezing. Job id: ab2de6fd-e269-4107-91a7-877073e7bb46. Job Name: vbr-vss-test-backup. VssCopyOnly: True

That's a successful VSS processing of the guest machine.
