Determining the MS SQL Server Instance to upgrade

Post by albertwt »

Hi Folks,

There are more than two SQL database instances showing when I am trying to perform the inline upgrade:

So can we assume the value from the

Code: Select all

 %PROGRAMFILES%\Common Files\Veeam\Backup and Replication\DBConfig\Veeam.Backup.DBConfig.exe
utility, is the correct one to upgrade or actively in use ?

While the rest can be safely deleted or ignored.

Appendix: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... =110#step3

Thank you for considering my thread,

Rgds,

Hi Albert

Yes. You can also check the location of the configuration database with the registry:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication\
SqlServerName
SqlInstanceName
SqlDatabaseName
Thanks
