Multiple throttling rules to Internet

Post by TitaniumCoder477 »

I have multiple SOBRs tiering to object storage. These are from multiple different sites but all controlled by a single BNR server. I am not seeing how to add multiple throttling rules to "Internet". There is only the one default rule, which I can obviously change but which would then apply the same throttling limitation to all, regardless of the varying Internet upstream differences. For example, a site that has 1GbE upstream would need to be throttled to 100Mbps upstream during business hours. But a site that has only 100Mbps upstream will need to be throttled to 10Mbps upstream during business hours. So I need the ability to configure multiple traffic rules to Internet.

You cannot change the Default rule, but you can add multiple IPv4 rules and specify the Subnet to allow and set the throttling speed. Click Add, then IPv4 Rule. Then type a name, IP subnet, and Destination (this can be all Public = Internet) and set the throttling.

Hi James

Multiple internet rules will be available in Veeam Backup & Replication V12.
In V10/V11 you can use Chris suggestion.

Best,
