Connection from Veeam to SharePoint

Hello everyone,

I am not able to use Veeam Backup for Sharepoint.

I have fellow all steps in the instruction, I have create a application in my Azure Account, I have create a user with a Password App.
But when I want to use this credentials, I´ve got a error.

Connect to Sharepoint: Unable to locate Sharepoint Online.
The sign-in name or password does not match one in the Microsoft account System.

I see the same message in Azure:

Failure reason	
Error validating credentials due to invalid username or password.
Additional Details	
The user didn't enter the right credentials.  It's expected to see some number of these errors in your logs due to users making mistakes.

Also I think that my App password not work correctly. I have 100% the right password use, but I think the application accept the user not.

I hope anyone can help me.

Hi Stefan

You should only add organization with Modern App-Only Authentication.
It may be possible that using "Modern Authentication and Legacy Protocols" (Legacy Auth, Basic Auth) with user and app passwords is already disabled by Microsoft in your M365 tenant. Starting in 2023 you won't be able to use "Modern Authentication and Legacy Protocols" anymore. Microsoft will remove this functionality.

So please try again with Modern App-Only Authentication. If Modern-App Only doesn't work, please open a case with our support and provide the case number.
