Feature Request - File Restore Progress

Post by vIdaho1 »

This issue has bitten us a couple times on large NAS FLR and hoping it can get fixed in a future version. When someone initiates a NAS FLR the initiator can view the progress, but if their RDP or console session are interrupted, or someone else wants to view the progress of the restore you only can view the job is still running. You can’t view throughput, amount of data restored, or estimated time to completion etc.. This ends up leaving us in the dark which is a big problem when running large restores. Hoping this is already something being worked on for a near future release.

Hello,
just to make sure we got it right. You like to see this progress bar / % value in the "running" section?

this is what the user can see who actually started the restore and this progress bar is in the Veeam File level restore explorer

and you would like to have the same information somewhere around here, right?

Best regards,
Hannes

Hello,
there were no changes around this topic since this post. We count your request +1 👍

The same also makes sense for any type of file level restore as you mentioned in this topic.

Best regards,
Hannes

Hi all,

This is a feature request raised in 2021 and I still having the problem today?
Any one knows the plan, when this could be added to Veeam?
If a restore job run for days, the FLR window would be closed as my RDP session will timeout and log off.
Then we could not find anyway to check the progress or throughput in the restore job detail or powershell.
I've logged a ticket #07732479 but the TSE only asking me to raise a new feature request in this forum.

Any progress or good news?
