Veeam agent for windows not start after install

Post by jramonav »

Hi team.

I've installed VeeamAgentWindows_5.0.3.4708 on my computer with windows 11 22H2 and after install I have this message:

veeam agent for Microsoft Windows cannot be configured, beacuse it is managed by your system administrator.

could some one let me know how could start veeam agent stand alone?

thanks a lot

Hi Jose

You can see this warning in case the Veeam Agent is managed by a VBR server or Veeam Service Provider Console. Do you have one of this systems in your environment or was your computer once managed by one of this two products?

Hi Jose

That sounds unexpected then.
If there is no VBR server, then you must reset the Agent database, remove the Veeam Agent registry hive and reinstall Veeam agent. This will allow you to run the agent as a standalone again. I suggest to do that under guidance of our support team.
