How to delete the second Tapedrive

Post by Novell2 »

The customer has changed the the second Tapedrive with a older one (LTO7) The HPE MSL3040 Tape Library has now 2 Tapedrives, one with LTO8 and one with LTO7. In the ABR11 Tape Infrastructure Library with 2 drives, the second drive (replaced from LTO8 to LTO7) still shows the LTO8. How can the red marked Drive2 be deleted and the LTO7 drive be recognized correctly?
Thanks!

Hello,
Are the drives all shown correctly in the Windows device management? Did you already do "rescan library"? What are the options when you right click on the drive?

Overall, there is a limitation that you are running into...
Within a library partition, only one generation of LTO drives are supported.
Best regards,
Hannes

The Solution to this was:
Library:
1. Navigate to the Configuration > System > Save/Restore Configuration Screen
2. Expand the Reset the List of Known Drives and Modules area and then click Reset
Veeam:
rescan in Veeam.
