VAL download link

Post by siaalien »

Hi everyone!

I am new to Veeam, but I found it to be excellent for my usecases so far.

I have a CentOS server 8.7 (AlmaLinux) with kernel 4.18.0-425.3.1.el8. As I read in kb2804, the VAL version that supports this kernel is 5.0.2.4627, even if it is experimental.

I would like to test it, but I could not find a download link in the repository, nor on the website. On kb2804, it states "For packages and instructions, please open a support ticket.". I did that (case #05825878), but it was closed due to "low support staff availability".

Is there someone who can provide a link to download the 5.0.2.4627 version of VAL?

So far, with version 5.0.2.4567, I manage to make it work only by using the offline install, using kmod-veeamsnap-5.0.2.4567-1.el8.x86_64.rpm and veeam-5.0.2.4567-1.el8.x86_64.rpm.

Thank you!

Hi Lucian

Unfortunately we cannot share a download link over the forum. This private builds from that kb article require an active support contract.

In a few weeks you will be able to download a new Agent version (VBR v12/VAL v6) without a paid contract. You may register yourself for the Launch event on the 14th Feb 2023.
