cdp and vmware cluster features
sorry i know this is a stupid question but does veeam cdp need cluster features such as DRS, HA and VSAN enabled?

and welcome to the forums.
The requirements are described in the user guide
For proper placement, DRS makes sense. Otherwise you need to select the ESXi host manually in the CDP policy and the host cannot be changed afterwards.
