Hello,
Can we extend an already existing scale-out backup repository with existing backups to an object storage?
If yes, what is the behavior for the already existing backups?
Thanks in advance and hope you are having a nice day

Re: Extend an existing SOBR to object storage
Hello Marieelieg
Yes, you can do that.
The behavior depends on your configuration of the offload policy:
- Copy: All existing restore points will be copied to object storage
- Move: Restore Points out of the operational restore window will be moved to object storage and removed from your existing performance extends. If you have a hardened repository, they cannot be removed until the immutability period is over. For future backups, immutability will be adjusted to meet the configured "operational restore window" setting.
Best,
Fabian
