Veeam v6 very Large Logs
I have started to notice that my job logs for Veeam Backup & Replicaiton Version 6 are very large. I have about 40GB of logs here "C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup" and over 35GB of them are the job log from my main backup:
Job.CH_Production.Backup.log ~955MB
Job.CH_Production.Backup_1.log ~13.4GB
Job.CH_Production.Backup_2.log ~2.9GB
Job.CH_Production.Backup_3.log ~2.6GB
Job.CH_Production.Backup_4.log ~2.3GB
Job.CH_Production.Backup_5.log ~2.0GB
Job.CH_Production.Backup_6.log ~11.4GB
Job.CH_Production.Backup_7.log ~1.5GB
Job.CH_Production.Backup_8.log ~1.3GB
Job.CH_Production.Backup_9.log ~1.1GB
Anyone know why they are so large?
Also could I compress or truncate the logs.
I guess i could just delete them

The logs are truncating themselves, so don't worry about running out of disk space. We keep a long history for our support to be able to troubleshoot backup issues that you did not spot immediately. In fact, v6 had no changes around logging comparing to the previous versions.
Sure, you can just delete them if you'd like.

Another suggestion is to enable NTFS compression on this folder. Log files compress very, very well.

This single job is backing up 217VM's. A full backup is about 1.5TB.
at 40GB this folder did full up the C:\ drive on my backup server last night and my Veeam job failed because of it.

Is that really 13GB? It would take some determination to look through (even at 240 characters per line) 60 million lines!

Yes, that is GB, as in GigaBytes.
