Copying Chart Options

Post by rjoffe »

Is it possible to set chart options in one place and have them affect all charts.

For example I want to set the vm memory chart to show a specific set of options, then I have to go to each other host individually and set the same options,

Thanks,

Ron

Ron, are you referring to specific counters you would like to see on the graphs?

Exactly,

So I choose a vm from the tree, change to the memory tab, and change the counters to specific ones I am interested in.

I'm wondering if there is a way to accomplish the same task for all vm's without hitting each and every one.

Thanks,

Ron

Actually we've gone further than that ;)

In version 6, we are going to introduce multiple default chart views based on counters' meaning and troubleshooting best practices. That would give you a possibility to quickly switch between different sets, without selecting desired performance counters manually.

Hope this is exactly what you looking for. Thanks!
