Warning when a job does not complete in X Hours

Post by unsichtbarre »

We need to be alerted when a backup or replication job is stuck and does not complete in X hours. I know this is possible in Veeam One, but it adds considerable to the cost of backups for Service Providers.
I would like to accomplish a simple alert when (if) a job is not complete inside of a set window. Has anyone accomplished this using PS?

THX,

Hi John

What about VSPC alarms instead of Veeam One? Do you use it as a Service Provider?

Max allowed job duration
Job has exceeded its allowed execution time.
For all sorts of VBR jobs (backup, copy, tape, replication)

VM without replica
The VM has not been replicated within the defined RPO (Recovery Point Objective) interval.

VM without backup
The VM has not been backed up within the defined RPO (Recovery Point Objective) interval.
