hi i have recently activated the MFA for veeam console.
I have two doubts because I haven't seen backup methods for MFA
-If I lose the phone that has the google authenticator on, would Veeam official support be able to unlock my account?
-Does the mfa with the google authenticator require a working internet connection? If I have no connection in the Veeam server, can I still authenticate?
Thank you

Re: two questions about veeam console MFA
1. Yes, of course. Resetting MFA requires an admin-level access to the backup server but as always, root can do anything. I would recommend to consider using an authenticator app with a built-in backup capability though. Personally I use Microsoft Authenticator and honestly, I can't even imagine using an authenticator app without such a feature any longer because I use MFA for pretty much anything and restoring all this manually from backup codes would take forever.
2. Sure. Authenticator apps merely calculate time-based PIN codes just like good old physical alternatives.

You can also print/save the QR code / secret key somewhere.
