Hi all,
we are searching for a DR concept/plan and found that Veeam also have the VDRO. Reading the deployment guide I in the system requirement section I see HPE and NetApp storage being supported. We have a Huawei OceanStore Dorado 6000 V3 which is not more supported in v12 but we can still live without direct snapshot access for backup and recovery. So is a HPE or NetApp storage mandatory for the deployment of VDRO?

Re: Storage system mandatory for VDRO?
Hello, a storage system is not mandatory for VDRO, as it also has capability to orchestrate recovery of Veeam backups (of Windows/Linux agents and vSphere VMs) to vSphere or to Azure. VDRO can also execute failover for VM replicas and CDP replicas.
Hope that helps!

Re: Storage system mandatory for VDRO?
Thanks for the clear answer Alec. The deployment guide led me to a wrong conclusion.
