Failed to send a test email: Resource could not be discovered

Post by jhellermann »

Hello,
under Configuration, Settings, Email I have changed the account to modern and Microsoft and successfully authenticated.
When sending a test mail I get the message :Failed to send a test email: Resource could not be discovered.
Something still has to be adjusted ? I can't find anything about this in the instructions

Hi JEllermann,

Did you configure the application in the Microsoft Azure portal? Is it pointing to your VB appliance?

Here is a bit more information on this process: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbazu ... tml?ver=50

Thanks!

Hmm, in this situationI would suggest opening a support case. Once you do this, please let me know your case ID, so that I could ask our technical writers team to update our guidelines (if necessary).

The problem with the configuration is that you can not enter a self-created app for authentication. The field for the key is missing. This means that you always have to use the one provided by Veeam. It would have to be as configurable as on Veeam Backup for Azure. After a reboot, the Azure IP changes and Conditional Access denies access.

Sorry for the late reply, as I was out-of-office. The self-created app is actually needed, Veeam does not provide any for mail service. Can you please clarify what exactly is missing there?
