Large ExternalCache Folder - how to reduce or limit Diskspace

Good Day

We are using VBR 11 (latest Build). There is a folder C:\ProgramData\Veeam\ExternalCache which is growing and has at the moment, arround 70GB of data. I had a look at this folder and it seems that there are a lot of .vib files from Azure VMs we protect. Data is going back to the year 2020...
Is there any way to clear the cache or at least remove Data older than 3 months? if yes, is there any possiblity to set a size limit for this folder?

Looks strange.

Try to:

- Apply the following registry key on a backup server ExternalRepositoryMaxCacheSizeGb (DWORD)
- Wait for maintenance job (by default, starting at 8 AM)
- See whether the folder size decreases

Do i have to add the it here: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication ?
DWORD: ExternalRepositoryMaxCacheSizeGb
Value: 50 (to limit to 50GB?)
