What could cause this ? 
/api/v1/restore/instantRecovery/vmware/vm
and in payload I include "powerUp: False". am using Python... The VM gets created and powered on!!

I didn't tested it by myself.
If you use "powerUp": false and the VM is powered on, please open a support ticket and let our customer support check the logs. Don't forget to provide me with the case number.
