Change repository server

Post by scrat »

Hello team,
Why can't I edit a repository server?

The doc says:
"When editing backup repository settings, you cannot change the selected backup repository server. Therefore, the Repository server field at the Server step is grayed out."
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120

I have a SAN repository given to a physical server, and I simply wanted to:
-- Disconnect the LUN from the current server.
-- Connect the LUN on another server.
-- Edit the repository and modify the server.

If that option is impossible, what is the alternative?

Thanks,
Best regards.

Hi Scrat

You can follow this kb. Method A:
https://www.veeam.com/kb1729

Instead or moving the files manually in step 3, you can disconnect and connect your LUN to the new repository server.

Please note: for SOBR there is another KB.

Best,
