Encryption for AHV Backups?
I don't see a place to encryption in the job settings similar to the Veeam vSphere version. Looking at the user guide (link below), it says encryption can be configured in the repository settings via Veeam B&R replication console. However, I don't see a place to enable encryption on the repository in the console. What am I missing?
Using Windows repository to receive AHV backups.
Veeam virtual appliance version is 1.0, build:632 (4/18/19) if that matters.

Re: Encryption for AHV Backups?
Hello wa15,
Right click the repository in Veeam B&R console and select Access permissions. Check the box Encrypt backups stored in this repository and set up the desired password. Cheers!

Re: Encryption for AHV Backups?
Thanks!
For vSphere jobs, is there any difference between having encryption enabled and job layer or at the repository layer since both are options?

Re: Encryption for AHV Backups?
* Different keys for different jobs
* The fact that repository encryption applies to agent-based backups only
Thanks!

Re: Encryption for AHV Backups?
Following up on this....encrypting Nutanix AHV files can't be done if the backups are being written to a SOBR. Is that correct? Running latest version of Veeam for Nutanix and Veeam B&R.

Hello wa15,
Encryption option should be available for any repository when you open Veeam B&R Console, right-click the desired repository and click access permissions in the menu. Cheers!

Re: Encryption for AHV Backups?
But encryption per Nutanix Backupjob is not available.
Is this correct?
Are there any plans to implement this?

Re: Encryption for AHV Backups?
Currently encryption settings are per repository. You can use separate repositories if you wish to have different encryption settings in use.

Re: Encryption for AHV Backups?
In that case, AHV agentless backup files will not be encrypted and there is no option to enable encryption on the backup job configuration. If so, is there a way to encrypt AHV agenless backups?

Re: Encryption for AHV Backups?
AHV proxy uses the encryption settings from the repository. So yes they can be encrypted. This has been present in all versions.
