hello,
i don't see teams chat messages explicit mentioned in this document:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=70
not sure how chat messages are handeld within ah object storage now... is each message, even ah single character chat message then ah single S3 object? or are they "grouped" togehter?
specific reason for this question is that the S3 Vendors might have "object" limits (these often depends on the metadata sizes too.... )
as far as i understood it, each mail (eml) files for example is like an s3 object, also as each file in ah onedrive or ah file in ah sharepoint online (teams-files) document library + additional "objects" for like ah sharepoint list etc...
but when having the messages also as explicit/individual s3-object propably you overfill the s3 storage quite fast?!
one other thing, not sure if i read the microsoft docs correctly here, but could it be true that there is ah object limit for ah bucket in azure blob storage for only 50k object?
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure ... ob-storage
if i run this script in my environment, that counts the objects that get backuped for at least the last 30days i get allready to over 200 000 000 objects, and there are full backups missing as this is only incremental backups now... still i'd might miss interprete these numbers?

Re: how are Teams Chat messages stored in Object Storage? and in general how many S3 Objects to expect?
Hey,
We always do grouping of data into an S3 object. Whether this is for email or files or teams items. So if you see 200M objects that we protect (where an object is a mailbox item or similar) you need to know that we won't create 200M objects on S3 (that would indeed let you run into some limitations ).

is this explained anywhere in depth how its "grouped" and what sizes the objects get? as for VBR the object size is depended on the Blocksize ("storage optimization") setting... (at least as far as i understood it?!)
