Veeam v12 MFA

Hi all,

for the v12 native MFA mechanism, does the Veeam server require Internet access for this function, and if so where are the details of the ports/destinations required for this?
Do most people use this instead of AAD MFA, or in addition to? The reason I ask is because I want to build a separate AD Forrest for backup, and don't really want the hassle of integrating that new forrest with the production AAD Connect server.

Hi,

Cannot answer the question about most people, but VBR MFA does not require internet access. It is based on the TOTP algorithm, see this page for more details.
