Revert -EnablePluginBackupOffload on Scaleout

Post by merku »

Hi,
I enabled the -EnablePluginBackupOffload option on one of my scaleouts and I have already downloaded some backups created with Plugin SAPHANA.
However, at the moment I see that my Object Storage is struggling with upload, delete, etc... operations and I would like to revert by disabling the option. Is it possible? What are the consequences of disabling the Plugin Offload? I couldn't find any articles on this, so I preferred to write here, maybe someone has had the same doubt/problem.

Currently, I am running Veeam V11.

Thanks!

Hi,

Sure, you can turn it off by specifying -EnablePluginBackupOffload: $false with Set-VBRScaleOutBackupRepository cmdlet. Turning it off will result in disabling plugin backups offload starting from the next tiering session run. Active offload sessions are not affected by a change.

Best regards,
Oleg
