Veeam ONE failed to analyze Veeam Backup & Replication server logs

Case number - 07003641

Good morning, Since updating Veeam One to version 12 & Veeam Replication & Backup to version 12 - Veeam One now gives me an error "Failed to download Veeam Backup & Replication data logs. Archive file is corrupted or cannot be opened" I have tried to do a manual start of the log analysis and that also generates the same error. If anyone has any advice or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

Thanks for the case number. This message is too general to troubleshoot.
Please continue to work with our support engineers. I'm confident they will find the cause of this issue.

RomanK you were correct!

I can confirm the support engineers quickly responded with the same conclusion... their instructions were:

- On the Veeam B&R server machine, please create a new folder for the logs (for example E:\TempLogs).

- Open "regedit" and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREVeeamVeeam ONE MonitorVID
If the "VID" registry key doesn't exist, please create one.

- Create a new entry:
Name: LogAnalyzerTempFolder
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: E:\TempLogs

Please change the "Value data" to the desired destination.

- Then, please restart the "VeeamOneAgentSvc" service to apply the changes.

Once this was completed I manually started a log analyse task again and it now processes correctly.

My log files were showing:
LogAnalyzer.Utils.Exceptions.LogArchiveLoadException: The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters

Hello Retroisbest,

Good to know that all is OK right now.

We plan to fix this soon and longer paths will be supported.
The fix is expected to be included in the next releases of the VID package, but at the moment I can't share the details. Please stick to the workaround.

i am running into the same issue. I´m wondering if there is a hotfix avaibale for this issue meanwhile.

Hello Oliver,

As far as I remember the issue above was fixed since signature package v1.5.53 release. If the issue still persists, please open a support case and provide the case ID in this thread so we could collect all the additional details and investigate it accordingly.
