Hi
I want to configure a backup for my server using as destination TAPE directly , without using any local storage , is it possible ?

it depends what you want to write to tape. If it's files, then yes, that's called "file to tape"
If the question is about virtual or physical machines as a whole, then no. That makes no sense, because all advanced restore options (like instant recovery) are impossible from tape media.
