Hello,
I am trying to find out what the "Service Account" of Veeam is called so that I can put it at the UNC repository and in the \ProgramData\Veeam\Backup365 path.
What exactly would have to be done in "service.msc" there is already by default the local system account deposited ?
what i also wonder when i create a repository and enter an unc path it says that it is an invalid path ?
I use the latest Veeam 365 version with a M365Suite subscription. Have UNC / SMB shares been patched out ?
Am a little confused would be happy about a detailed answer

Re: VB365: Cant add network path as backup location
Hello David
Welcome to the forum.
First please let me note, we only provide experimental support for SMB.
Most issues with proxy disconnects are because of using SMB devices for this product.
Data is stored in jet db based databases and SMB is not a good protocol for that purpose.
Our recommended storage solution is Object Storage.
In case you still want to go with a NAS device, please consider to use iSCSI instead of SMB.
If you still want to try SMB, please follow the requirements and steps in this KB:

Best,
Fabian
