License Count is Not Reduced After Exclusions

Post by BrianS_WincVA »

Hello,
I have an issue where the license count was exceeded because I added vCenter to Veeam ONE and it pulled in every VM for monitoring.
Yesterday, I added an exclusion rule and it reduced the number of VMs from 107 to 64, or at least it should be based on what I see on the summary page. However, I'm still seeing the license exceeded error.
See attached screenshots. Can anyone explain what's going on and how this licensing is calculated?

Wow so it looks like there's no way to upload a file or paste a screenshot on this forum. Come on Veeam, pictures are worth a thousand words! Anyway, what I see is
Virtual Infrastructure > Summary > Hosts 6, Datastores 16, Virtual Machines 64
Main Menu > License > Free Community Edition Instances 10 (21 used)

Thanks,

Hello Brian,

Veeam ONE per instance license applies to the VMs included in the monitoring and reporting scope with Veeam ONE inclusion rules. This means a VM already consumed the license instance as it was monitored. Some time is required to unmonitor the VM, as far as I remember it could be up to 30 days.

Thanks

Oh ok. I didn't realize there was that long delay before the license count updated. Thanks for your help.
