Cannot get reporting working

Post by JChen522 »

Case # 07006688

Cannot get Veeam ONE Reporting Service service started. It starts and then stops. It started happen with version 11. We tried upgrade to v12 but failed. Had to build another box and restore database and install v12. However problem still persisted. Cannot get the service to stay started. In the Application log event viewer, it will say source “Veeam ONE Reporting Service” “Failed to export certificate ‘6D3D039FF8C9DDC4D5024DC63F65E7C7C6932E69”: Keyset does not exist

When I try to choose to use “Veeam ONE Website self-signed certificate” for the VeeamReporter website, it gives me an error saying “There was an error while performing this operation. Details: A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070520)”
Veeam Service account is part of local admin group.

Any ideas?

Hello,
Thank you so much for the support case. I have not seen this error before, but everything related to SSL certificates, and DNS is always tricky to find and sometimes easy to fix once we pin point the error.

The best course of action is to give support engineers some time, as I am positive you will have it working in no time.

Thank you

We worked with support engineers to try to reinstall Veeam One but failed. The original error message that happened on the original VM showed up on the new VM. In ReporterWEBSetup log it says something about "vError: '-2147352567'. Failed to change certificate permissions: Invalid provider type specified.
Veeam*** Failed to execute assembly. Windows error code: 0x80020009. Help!

Hello,
I will check a bit later on the support portal. But what did Support told you? We on these forums can not help you troubleshoot errors like this, if only was something we have seen before and more normal, but this is very specific.

It seems to me something related to the GPO, maybe some antivirus or some advanced malware tool you might have, or the account that installs VONE. But again, the best to tell you what exactly is support, please keep working with them.

Thank you
