For a complete restore of your backup servers entire configuration (proxies, repositories, jobs, general configuration, restore points in database, ...) the configuration backup will be enough.
If you write File to Tape jobs, information about the files on tapes won't be exported in V11a. In V12, we also export this information.
Using the configuration backup restore option is the recommended way to restore the entire backup server configuration to a new backup server.

Creating an additional backup of the dedicated database server is possible. It will run after the backup of all other workloads in the job has finished.
