Is there a setting to limit or shrink the SOBR offload logs?

Hi,

We have a Veeam VBR v12 for our Hyper-V environment and are using 4 different SOBR's for backup files.
3 of these SOBR's offload the backups to Azure and generate a lot of logfiles. At the moment we have 3 directories with these files.
Together this is about 114 GB in size! The total Logs directory is 162 GB, so these offload logs are using most of this space.

Is there any way to limit the amount of these offload logs? Or something to shrink the files present?

In the past we have set the registry settings;

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication]
"MaxLogCount"=dword:00000006
"MaxLogSize"=dword:00002800

But they don't seem to do anything with the SOBR offload logs.

I found some discussions in our internal portals that those should also work for SOBR Offloads.
Please open a case with our customer support if they don't work and provide me with the case number.

Thanks for your reply, could it be possible that this does not work because we also changed the default log path?
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication]
"LogDirectory"="D:\\VeeamLogs"

We changed this years ago, has been working fine.

Hi Peter

The keys for log rotation works for every log location, not just the default one. It doesn't depend on where you store the log files.
