VEM restorepoints vapp missing

Hi all,

Maybe this should be a supportcase, maybe im just doing it wrong.

Im using the enterprise manager with the vCloud self service portal, so the user can create theyre own backupjobs.
VBR (12) is connecting to vcloud to backup the vapp and the vm's within. This all works fine.

Now im trying to get the restorepoints from these jobs and i can see that the the vapp restorepoint and the vm restorepoint in the return of the api call.
So ive got 2 differtent links, the vm always returns information, the vapp link doesnt, it returns a 404. This happens on ALL vapp objects.

Any idea if im doing something wrong or if there is a bug somewhere?

endpoints:
Backuptasksessions returns all objects, vapp and vm with "vmrestorepoint" type in links

Can share my code if need, still wip and is in powershell.

Hi Danny,

I'm pretty sure it's a bug because:

1. vApps have their own endpoint for restore points - vAppRestorePoints, so it should be "vAppRestorePoint" reference type in BackupTaskSession model.
2. if you parse the reference link for a vApp restore point and substitute it from /vmRestorePoints/{id}?format=Entity to /vAppRestorePoints/{id}?format=Entity, the request works.

Let me bring this issue up internally and then follow up on the topic.

Thank you for replying, I feel a bit stupid i didn't catch that...
I checked and that is indeed the issue.

I guess you are right that it's a bug that the link provided is incorrectly using the vmrestorepoint endpoint if the object is a vapp.
