Veeam Replcation

Post by vrmsot@nlicgulf.com »

Dear all,

we are in process of Replication all VMs from Vsphere to VxRail,

we started a Replication ob of 10 Vms, it ran successfully but while planned failover, all 10 VMs failover one by one, & taking very long time, Each VMs taking 20-25min,

Is there a way that all VMs will start failover same time, because 10 Vms will take 2 - 2.5 hours for failover. please advise..

Hello Pankaj

I replaced your license id #02****** with the case id #06******
This is a known limitation. Planned failover will failover VMs one by one.
If you start planned failover for several VMs that are replicated with one replication job, these VMs will be processed one by one, not in parallel.

As an alternative, you may use normal Failover or different replica jobs.
With normal failover, the steps needs to be done:

1) Shutdown all VMs
2) Manually start a new replica job session to replicate the latest state for the powered off VMs
3) Failover the VMs

Best,
