Block size for the file backup to Object storage

Post by ithark »

Dear Team,
We are trying to address the issues with the high number of API calls while backing up data to S3 by following the instructions on the KB, https://www.veeam.com/kb4470
This certainly works when we backup VMs to the object storage.
The problem comes when we try to perform a file backup to the Object storage.
On the job settings, we don't have the option to change the default block size of an object which I believe is set to 1MB. We would like to change this to 4 MB.
Do we have any registry value that we can use to apply the settings to all of our jobs?
Thanks in advance for all your help.
Regards,
Karthik

Hi Karthik

You don't need to configure a higher block size for object storage appliances.
NAS backup data is stored in 64MB objects (VBLOB files).
