Restore Log files, location + retention

Post by juerg.hirschi »

Hi there
we are running the latest version of VB365.
How long are the log files/details of the restore jobs available in the Console?
Where are those files stored? Just in case we would need to move them to another place if retention of the logs is too short.
Thanks
Jürg

Hello Jürg

Moving a part of the session logs to another location is not possible.
Session in the console are stored in the configuration database. You can configure the retention of the logs in the general options in VB365: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=70

Worst Case scenario if you loose your old VB365 database:
If you protect your VB365 server with a VSS enabled VBR/Agent backup job, just run an instant recovery to a vSphere/HyperV host with an isolated network and check old session logs there.

If you use our free Veeam One Integration with VB365, you can export some monitoring data and reports to a new location: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/one/m ... ml?ver=120
