[Feature Request] dataverse support in veeam backup for office365

Post by stdb » 2 people like this post

Hi,

We are using the microsoft power platform with dataverse and are looking for a way to backup this.
Can this be added to veeam backup for microsoft 365?

Hello,
and welcome to the forums.

Right now, there are no plans for backing up Power Apps in general, so dataverse is also currently out of scope. But we count your request +1 👍

Best regards,
Hannes

This would definitely be nice considering how unhelpful the MS “backups” are.

Just piling on! Including Power Platform, even just existing solutions, in the backup would be great!

Hi Mitch and welcome to our Forums!

Your FR is noted, however, could you please elaborate more on what components and data from Power Platform you would like to protect?

I have numerous business critical power automate flows and power apps. I have the really important ones backed up as it's possible to export them into a zip file, and maybe there are some other tools or powershell options to do that process in bulk that I haven't looked into, but it would be really nice to have them backed up on a schedule and integrated with the rest of the M365 backups.

We are starting to use Power BI, Power Automate and Dynamics 365 Customer Voice more heavily and need a backup solution for it. In the absence of Veeam having one we'll have to use another vendor who does. It's a shame given we're existing Veeam for Microsoft 365 Backup + Veeam Backup & Replication customers.

We're in the same situation. We use "Veeam for Microsoft 365 Backup" and "Veeam Backup & Replication", and now we would like to backup power automate flows and power apps.

@GianlucaCroci

Are you using the entire power platform or parts of it?
